President and CEO of Veolia North America, Bill DiCroce, recently wrote an editorial for The Hill addressing the role water systems should play in the investments in infrastructure proposed by the current U.S. administration.
“Investment is also needed for training,” DiCroce added, noting that because “about one-third of the current water workforce is eligible for retirement,” it’s imperative for local governments to partner with colleges, trade schools and the private sector on projects that can close this skills gap and move the country forward.
